Job description

What the role is:

You will play an integral part in influencing the HDB heartland shops landscape – helping our shops play an important social role by providing convenient and affordable goods and services to nearby residents, and fostering a sense of community and belonging.

What you will be working on:

You will join a team to manage external agency stakeholders and research consultants to conduct deeper ground engagement and more site-specific policy interventions to enhance the vibrancy, inclusiveness and local character at pilot deep dive sites in the North of Singapore.

Responsibilities include:

1. Supervising the work of the external consultants in engaging local stakeholders including residents, merchants, and shop owners.
2. Analyzing the engagement results and gaining a better understanding of stakeholders’ needs and preferences.
3. Translating these into trade mix plans and trade curation policy levers to improve the local management of the areas.

What we are looking for:

• Background in real estate, business or planning.
• Strong interest in the urban development and public housing environment of Singapore.
• You should have strong communication, analytical, and writing skills; must be able to work effectively in a team and coordinate across multiple stakeholders. Selected candidates will be offered a 1+1 year contract.
