Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects from tender stage through project completion and close-out.
  • Prepare, review, and manage contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and commercial agreements in line with company policies.
  • Oversee project cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.
  • Monitor project cash flow, valuations, progress claims, variations, and final accounts.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and manage variations, claims, extensions of time (EOT), and dispute matters.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and Finance teams to align commercial and operational objectives.
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier commercial performance, including payment certifications and contractual compliance.
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, statutory requirements, and company procedures.
  • Support tendering and bidding processes, including pricing strategies, cost analysis, and contract review.
  • Prepare and present commercial reports to senior management, highlighting financial performance, risks, and recovery actions.
  • Lead negotiations with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to protect company interests.
  • Maintain accurate commercial documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle.
