Job summary

A leading aerospace provider in Singapore is seeking a skilled machinist to operate manual and CNC machines, ensuring quality and precision. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in precision engineering, be capable of reading blueprints, and understand machining processes. Proficiency in English is essential. Qualifications

  • At least 3 – 5 years’ machining experience in Precision Engineering / Metal / Aerospace environment.
  • Must have experience in operating manual and CNC machines.
  • Good knowledge in machining processes and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

  • Set up jigs, fixtures, and tooling required for machining.
  • Operate manual and CNC Lathe, VTL, and milling machines.
  • Perform in-process inspection on machining parts using precision gauges.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Set up jigs, fixtures and tooling required for machining
  • Operate manual and CNC Lathe, VTL and milling machines
  • Perform in-process inspection on machining parts using precision gauges and micrometers
  • Comply with engine manuals, technical data and work instructions for all machining operation
  • Initiate and suggest continuous improvement ideas to improve process, productivity and quality Perform TPMs
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area
  • Comply with safety rules and regulations during course of duties
  • Perform Sheetmetal work as and when is required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Education Requirements

NITEC / Technical Certificate in Mechanical / Precision Engineering or equivalent

Experience Level Requirements

At least 3 – 5 years’ machining experience in Precision Engineering / Metal / Aerospace environment

Skills Required

Must be able to operate manual and CNC Lathe, VTL and Milling machine, Good knowledge in machining processes and able to read and understand blueprints with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), Able to use standard measuring instruments. Proficient in both spoken and written English
