A leading consulting firm based in Singapore seeks a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to manage and enhance the reliability of its cloud infrastructure on AWS. This role allows you to solve complex infrastructure challenges and drive cloud modernization. You will perform capacity planning and automate initiatives while providing critical support for AWS platforms. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in platform engineering and solid knowledge of container technologies. This position is a 1-year renewable contract with various benefits.
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to manage and enhance the reliability, security, and performance of Cloud Platform (AWS). This role offers hands‑on exposure to cloud infrastructure, automation, and modern cloud technologies, while giving you the opportunity to drive platform modernisation in a highly impactful environment.

Working Hours: 8.30am–6.00pm (Mon–Thu), 8.30am–5.30pm (Fri)

Employment Type: 1‑year renewable contract

Monitor, maintain, and optimise platform performance across AWS environment
Perform capacity planning, patching, and lifecycle management to ensure system health and availability
Drive automation initiatives and implement infrastructure standards to improve efficiency and reliability
Execute monthly patching with minimal service disruption
Provide L2/L3 support for AWS platforms.
Support containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, and enable hybrid cloud adoption
Develop and maintain SOPs and technical documentation
Hands‑on experience with AWS Environment
Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration
Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible or similar tools)
Familiarity with Nutanix and virtualisation technologies
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, security concepts)
Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash
Experience with monitoring and observability tools
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline
Min. 4 years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering roles
Proven experience supporting large‑scale or high‑availability systems
