Job Responsibilities

  • Provide fast, skillful and accurate blood collection for patients using venipuncture, capillary and heel-prick
  • Perform phlebotomy, ECG, spirometry in an accurate, efficient and professional way
  • Ensure work area is clean and tidy. Ensure compliance with infection control guidelines
  • Ensure 2 identifier is performed for every patient prior to collection before performing test for patients
  • Ensure proper documentation for traceability and in adherence to good documentation practices.
  • Ensure compliance to workplace safety, hand hygiene and other applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements of the laboratory.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to all external and internal clients (patients, doctors, vendors) over the counter or on the phone

Required Skills and Experience

  • Recognised N/O Level/ITE Certificate/Diploma in Biomedical Sciences, Nursing, Health Sciences or a Certificate in phlebotomy
  • Experienced in performing phlebotomy in a fast-paced environment (at least 2-5 years)
