Job description

Clinical Instructor, Nursing (Training & Education/ Office hours)

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate preceptorship scheme for strengthening clinical support of new staff.
• Provide OJT training of new staff and assist Nurse Managers in the wards to ensure their competencies.
• Co-ordinate and organize training activities to strengthen unit-based generic and specialty clinical practices.
• Plan, implement and evaluate unit-based and discipline-based training courses.
• Ensure appropriate orientation, training and continuing education for nursing staff to advance and maintain the required level of competency.
• Ensure that patient care delivery is implemented and monitored according to established standards of care and practice
• Act as a resource person to Nurse Manager on clinical nursing and nursing training matters and issues.
• Apply principles to prevent medico-legal issues in relation to patient care
• Perform summative assessment of nursing staff.
• Training and education for other non-nursing staff/volunteers.
• Develop and conduct hospital-based training in relation to MOH requirements and organizational
