Job summary

A prominent engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a qualified candidate to supervise civil and structural works within MRT projects. The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, with at least 4 years of experience, including 2 years in related fields. Responsibilities include reviewing plans, ensuring compliance with permits, conducting inspections, and supervising site safety. This role requires a valid RE/RTO certificate and offers a comprehensive salary package.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience, including 2 years in MRT Rail or Road works.
• Possess a valid RE/RTO cert 2025 by JAC of IES/ACES.
• Possess BCSS and/or confined space certificate and/or working at height certificate.

Responsibilities

• Review Authority's and Contractor's drawings.
• Supervise all Civil, Structural, and Geotechnical building works.
• Ensure contractor compliance with necessary permits and clearances.
• Conduct site inspections and enforce corrective actions.
• Coordinate among Contractor, AC, relevant agencies, and consultants.
• Review formwork structure and ensure PE endorsement.
• Oversee safety, environmental, and health matters at the site.
• Supervise instrumentation installation and decommissioning.
• Monitor Civil and Structural works impact on surrounding structures.
• Maintain a daily register of Requests for Information (RIN).
• Participate in routine audits and safety inspections.
• Prepare and submit reports as required by the Authority/Developer.

Roles & Responsibilities.

• To review all Authority's and Contractor's drawings
• To supervise all Civil, Structural and Geotechnical building works, both permanent and temporary
• To review Contractor's design and submission and supervise all works associated with Civil and Structural works
• To ensure that contractor had obtained all necessary permits (NOA, NOC, POWS, TM approval, PTD, PTW, etc) and clearance to work
• To conduct site inspection and ensure that contractor(s) implement corrective actions and timely preventive/mitigation measures whenever necessary
• To ensure proper coordination among Contractor, AC, QP(D), relevant agencies, including interfacing contractors and consultants etc. for the works
• To review formwork structure, formwork support systems prior to concreting works and ensure the formworks erected are PE endorsed with Certificate of Supervision (COS) issued
• To upkeep safety, environmental and health matters while working at a construction site
• To supervise the installation/decommissioning of instrumentation
• To review the monitoring data and ensure the Civil and Structural works do not have huge impact on surrounding structures
• To ensure daily register of Request for Information (RIN) for the works and proper documentation are in-placed during the entire construction/reinstatement phase
• To participate in routine audits by the Authority/Developer, join in all joint inspections and safety site walks
• To prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports as required by the Authority/Developer

Requirements:

• At least 4 years’ of experience, of which 2 years’ experience in MRT Rail or Road works that includes supervision of temporary and permanent works.
• Possess a valid RE/RTO cert 2025 by JAC of IES/ACES.
• Possess BCSS and/or confined space certificate and/or working at height certificate.
• Candidate to be able to work shift works due to the demands of the project
• Willing to work 56hrs work week
• Salary range quoted is all in. i.e. inclusive of leave and MC benefits and gratuity/13month
