A leading insurance firm in Singapore seeks a Technology Leader to provide strategic guidance in technology alignment and execution across its markets. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in technology delivery and a strong background in the insurance domain, particularly Life Insurance. This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and optimizing technology governance to drive business success.
Technology Leadership : Provide leadership to Chubb Life markets with deep insights into technology-enabled solutioning and alignment with the business strategy. Drive the engineering organization across Chubb Life markets with a strong focus on execution and business enablement
Technology Alignment : Ensure Chubb Life IT is consistently aligned to Chubb Group’s methodologies and operating models, without sacrificing the servicing of Chubb Life’s various markets.
Technology Strategy : Continually focused to enhance the technology ecosystem across Chubb Life markets through modernization of legacy technologies plus pursuing transformation towards Digital and Cloud capabilities that provide material business benefit.
Technology Governance : support IT governance to ensure a robust alignment between markets and the region. Drive annual planning exercise to align with the strategic planning. Support monthly and quarterly business reviews with the executive leaders and drive the delivery change in the markets.
Engineering Excellence : Lead global engineering for Life with core focus on right standards, user experience, re‑usable components and services etc., Strong focus on AI enabled and cloud first approach. Bring an engineering culture and mindset in the organization by insourcing the software engineering work from externally dependent vendors
Business Partnership : Work closely with the Chubb Life’s Ops & Tech leadership and Country leadership to ensure technology is an enabler of strategy.
Vendor Partners : Actively and continuously evaluate resourcing models and the ability to leverage key partners to augment capabilities and skills to optimize delivery and servicing of the Chubb Life Group.
Risk Management : passionate about ensuring privacy and protection of customer, partner and employee data plus take full ownership for all technology-related emerging risks and their management.
Technical Acumen : a strong technology foundation to ensure you positively guide technical discussions and solution design to optimize business capabilities and customer services.
Strategic Focus : Incorporates a long-term perspective on the Chubb Life Group and the markets in which it operates into, both planning and execution.
Business Acumen : ability to apply technical expertise, specific knowledge and judgment to business issues to help improve Chubb Life.

Influence : Ability to operate within a matrix organization where reporting lines can be blurred requiring collaboration and influencing skills to get things done, even without formal authority.

15+ years’ experience in technical delivery of multi-platform solutions, and / or managing related projects in complex, multi-geography, multi-business line environments.
10 years of experience in management / leadership of a Technology function, in a regulated industry, ideally Financial Services.
Proven technical skills and familiarity with wide range of technologies (O / S, programming languages), including usage of industry standard tooling and AI in software delivery.
Experience in the Life Insurance domain strongly preferred.
Tertiary level qualifications in Engineering / Business / Finance or Management. Equivalent skills and experience will also be considered
