Job summary

A leading educational center in Singapore is seeking a passionate Chinese language teacher to deliver engaging lessons and foster student interest in the culture. Responsibilities include developing creative teaching materials, assessing student progress, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor Degree in Education or related fields and at least 1 year of teaching experience. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Minimally possess a Bachelor Degree in Education, Chinese Language and Literature, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant teaching experience.
• Availability to work on weekday evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Chinese language lessons to students of varying proficiency levels.
• Develop and implement creative teaching materials, activities, and games to enhance learning.
• Cultivate students’ interest in Chinese language, culture, and values.
• Assess and monitor students’ progress through tests, classwork, and participation.
• Provide feedback and guidance to students and parents on performance and improvement areas.
• Maintain a positive, encouraging, and disciplined classroom environment.
• Prepare lesson plans aligned with the school or enrichment centre’s curriculum and standards.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and curriculum development activities.
• Organize or support cultural events, performances, or competitions related to Chinese language and culture.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess minimally a Bachelor Degree in Education, Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese Studies (for Primary & Secondary Levels) or Preschool Teacher or Early Childhood (for Preschool Levels) or equivalent.
• At least 1 year relevant experience

• Able to work in weekdays evening, weekends and public holiday
