Job description

We are looking for an experienced CEO with a professional badminton athlete background and valid badminton coaching certification. This is a hybrid leadership role that combines management, coaching, and high-level sparring.

Our academy focuses on training competitive players, including youth athletes and tournament-level students. You will be responsible for overseeing the company’s overall operations while personally leading training, developing coaching standards, and elevating athlete performance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Company Management & Business Strategy
  • Develop and execute the academy’s long-term strategy, annual plans, and growth direction
  • Build and optimize training frameworks, curriculum structures, and athlete progression systems
  • Lead business development, brand marketing, and strategic partnerships (schools, clubs, sports organizations, tournaments)
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, KPIs, and day-to-day operations
2. Coaching Team Leadership
  • Recruit, train, manage, and evaluate the coaching team
  • Establish coaching standards, training methodologies, and teaching guidelines
  • Conduct regular coaching workshops to ensure high and consistent teaching quality
  • Supervise and review daily training sessions delivered by coaches
3. Professional Coaching & Sparring
  • Deliver high-level badminton coaching for competitive players
  • Develop training plans covering technique, footwork, physical conditioning, and tactical execution
  • Provide professional sparring (on‑court partner training) for advanced students
  • Guide players in tournament preparation, match strategy, and performance analysis
4. Athlete Development & Parent Communication
  • Create long-term development plans tailored to each athlete’s level and goals

  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding training results, improvement areas, and future planning
  • Support athletes’ mental preparation, confidence building, and sportsmanship
5. Tournament Planning & Team Operations
  • Organize and lead teams to local and international competitions
  • Design annual tournament schedules and training cycles
  • Analyze match performance and conduct post‑tournament reviews
  • Ensure players receive holistic support during competitions
Job Requirements
Professional Background & Certification
  • Former professional badminton athlete (National Team, Provincial Team, Professional League, or equivalent preferred)
  • Possesses official coaching certification (e.g., BWF, National Sports Authority, Badminton Singapore certification, etc.)
  • Must be able to coach and provide high‑intensity sparring
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of badminton coaching experience
  • Experience training competitive or elite youth athletes preferred
  • Previous experience managing a coaching team or sports training center is a plus
  • Proven track record of guiding players to regional, national, or international tournament achievements
Skill Requirements
