Overview
The CEO is responsible for leading strategic direction, operational performance, institutional growth, and external partnerships. The role requires strong educational leadership, market insight (especially China & ASEAN), stakeholder engagement, compliance with Singapore’s education regulations, and academic credibility with UK partners.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Define & execute the institute’s strategic vision, growth roadmap, and competitive positioning in Singapore and regional markets (China, ASEAN).
- Develop long‑term plans with measurable KPIs across student enrolment, academic performance, financial sustainability, and brand equity.
- Lead strategic planning processes, including annual operating plans and multi‑year budgets.
- Ensure academic quality and relevance across diploma and degree programmes.
- Strengthen relationships with UK partner universities for curriculum alignment, accreditation renewals, quality audits, and joint academic initiatives.
- Monitor academic standards, programme performance, retention, progression, and graduate outcomes.
- Champion innovation in teaching, assessment, and student learning support (e.g. blended/hybrid models, industry projects).

- Oversee institutional budgets, financial forecasting, resource allocation, and cost optimisation.
- Drive revenue growth through diversified student recruitment, executive education, corporate training, and potential new programme offerings.
- Ensure financial sustainability, risk management, and profitability without compromising educational quality.

International Recruitment & Market Expansion
- Lead student recruitment strategy with a strong focus on China and regional markets (India, SE Asia).
- Leverage personal network contacts and build new relationships with education agents, schools, feeder institutions, government bodies and corporate partners.
- Establish credible on‑ground presence or representation where strategic (e.g. China, Vietnam, Myanmar).
- Oversee digital marketing strategy and performance across channels (WeChat, Douyin/Little Red Book, Facebook and Google).

Stakeholder & Government Relations
- Act as the primary representative to government regulators (e.g. SSG, education councils, accreditation bodies).
- Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with UK partner universities, ensuring all compliance and quality metrics are met.
- Engage local employer networks to support internships, placements and job outcomes.

Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Maintain full compliance with Singapore’s education regulatory frameworks (e.g. EduTrust Certification, SSG requirements).
- Implement robust internal quality assurance, governance, risk management and process controls.
- Manage audit processes and reporting to external accreditors and University partners.
- Build and lead a high‑performing executive and academic leadership team.
- Drive organisational culture aligned with institutional vision – student‑centric, outcome‑driven and ethically strong.
- Oversee HR strategies, talent development, performance management and staff engagement.

- Elevate the institute’s brand regionally and internationally – especially in key source markets like China.
- Represent the institute at high‑level conferences, education fairs and industry panels.
- Strengthen public relations, media engagement and digital presence.
Key Performance Indicators
- Enrolment Growth – Annual student enrolment targets (domestic & international).
- Revenue Growth – Revenue targets, margin targets, cost variance.
- Compliance – Audits passed, regulatory renewals secured.
- Brand Reach – Digital engagement, partner events executed.
- Partnerships – Number of new articulation agreements.
