Job summary

A leading food and beverage company in Singapore is seeking a culinary operations manager to oversee their Teppanyaki restaurant. The role involves managing a team and maintaining high culinary standards, including staff training and cost control. Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of relevant kitchen experience, particularly in stir-frying or Teppanyaki. Qualifications

Role & Responsibilities

Overseeing the Teppanyaki, one of our direct operated restaurant (DOR) brands culinary operations, to manage the team with the highest of culinary standards.

This incumbent is expected to maintain complete knowledge of;

  • All menu items available in the restaurant; primarily Teppanyaki brands
  • All menu items, preparation method/time, ingredients, sauces, portion sizes, garnishes, presentation and prices
  • Manage team schedules
  • To ensure and establish cost control within all relevant culinary departments
  • Overseeing and ensuring hygiene standards are of highest quality
  • Establishing work safety measures for team
  • Conducting food tasting
  • Working together with management to create new product items
  • Provide training to the Junior Cook, Assistants, Counter Crews and the rest of the team members
  • Monitoring trend of sales and having improvement plans
  • Assist in new stall / restaurant set up and opening
  • Assist in front-of-house duties and familiar with the entire restaurant's operation
  • Any other duties as assigned by Superior
Requirements
  • At least 2 - 3 years of hands-on back-of-house or kitchen working experiences
  • Candidates must have proven track record in stir-fry (zhi char) or Teppanyaki experiences
  • Candidates must comfortably work in open kitchen and customer front facing environments
