Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with hands‑on experience in payment switching systems, particularly BASE24-Classic and BASE24-eps. The role involves software development, testing, implementation, and production support of mission‑critical payment systems for banking and financial services clients in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and support applications on BASE24-Classic /BASE24-eps platforms.
- Perform development and maintenance using C, C++, TAL, TACL, COBOL85, and SCOBOL.
- Work on payment switch functions including authorization, routing, settlement, journaling, and interfaces.
- Develop and support transaction processing using ISO 8583 (1987/1993) message standards.
- Implement scheme mandates and regulatory requirements for card payment networks.
- Support system installation, migration, upgrades, and production deployments.
- Perform unit testing, SIT, UAT support, and post‑production issuer resolution.
- Participate in regression, performance, and load testing activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams, banks, and vendors to ensure system stability and service availability.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in BASE24-Classic and/or BASE24-eps payment switch systems.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, TAL, TACL, COBOL85, SCOBOL.
- Hands‑on experience with HP NonStop / Tandem Guardian environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 8583 standards and EFT transaction processing.
- Experience with payment simulators such as VISA VTS, MasterCard MDFS/MAS, FINSIM, or BOSS.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, onsite environment.
- Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Singapore.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting Singapore or APAC banking clients.
- Exposure to production support and regulatory‑driven enhancements.
- Experience working in Agile environments and tools such as JIRA.
