Captain Gulfstream G650

The Captain of the Gulfstream G650 is responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of the aircraft at all times. This role requires strict adherence to all aviation regulations, company policies, and established safety procedures. The Captain provides leadership and direction to the flight and cabin crew, ensuring operational readiness, discipline, and effective teamwork, while upholding the highest standards of safety, service quality, and professionalism. In addition to technical flight responsibilities, the Captain also undertakes administrative, representational, and service-related duties essential to the smooth and professional execution of all flight operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct all flights safely and in full compliance with federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and industry standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with all fleet and crew operational requirements, including strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), the Flight Operations Manual, operational directives, and the accurate completion of all required documentation.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive flight operations, including weather assessment, fuel and payload calculations, weight and balance verification, and performance evaluation, while ensuring all pre-flight in-flight, and post-flight duties and inspections are properly completed.
  • File and communicate detailed flight plans with Air Traffic Control authorities and the company operations department.
  • Continuously monitor enroute conditions, assess weather deviations, and make informed decisions to ensure passenger comfort, safety, and schedule integrity.
  • Maintain detailed post-flight reports and safeguard all operational and confidential records.
  • Ensure that all required aircraft documentation (airworthiness certificate, insurance, registration, radio license, maintenance release, etc.) is onboard, valid, and organized prior to each flight.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager or service providers to monitor the aircraft’s maintenance status, due items, inspections, and airworthiness directives.
  • Ensure compliance with customs, immigration, and permit requirements for all international operations.
  • Lead and support the flight and cabin crew, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure all trip-related requests or changes from the aircraft owner or charter client are communicated promptly and accurately.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by proactively reporting safety hazards or concerns and supporting continuous safety improvements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. Duties and responsibilities may be changed or added at any time, with or without prior notice.
Requirement
  • Must hold a valid FAA G650 type rating or have completed G650 initial training.
  • Valid FAA First Class medical certificate.
  • Experience serving in Director of Operations, or at least two years of experience as a Chief Pilot.
  • Must be willing to operate on standby / rotational roster including weekends and public holidays.
  • Willingness to relocate or travel internationally as required by flight operations.
  • Must comply with company policies, safety regulations, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Proven record of professional conduct, safety awareness, and management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Valid Class First Medical Certificate issued by an authorized aviation medical examiner.
  • Pilot skills consistent with operational requirements.
  • Strong teamwork acumen with a profound ability to work under extreme pressure.
