Overview

Your role :

Do you have strong problem solving skills and do you enjoy bringing structure to complex situations, engage with a variety of views and stakeholders to find common solutions? Are you good at communicating complex business challenges in a constructive and easy way?

As part of the APAC Strategy Team based in Singapore, you will contribute to the development of UBS’s strategic vision and ambition in the region, drive strategic initiatives, and partner with the business in co-developing and operationalizing their business strategies. Utilizing strong strategic skills, industry experience and functional expertise, the team looks beyond standard solutions to develop new insights, mobilize business strategies, drive tangible results, and position our business even stronger.

Your team

You’ll be working in the APAC Strategy Team within the broader Chief of Strategy Office that reports to the CEO. The Chief Strategy Office is a team of motivated professionals who bring a diverse international background. We are responsible for formulating and executing best in class vision and strategy, facilitating group and business level strategies and driving multi-functional projects and initiatives for the firm globally.

Your expertise
  • a top tier University education, preferably focused on corporate strategy, finance, or structured problem solving
  • 3-7 years professional experience within a top management consulting firm or an equivalent in-house corporate development position, preferably with a focus on financial services
  • strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to clearly articulate sophisticated concepts, ideas, and processes
  • entrepreneurial spirit who can work well cross-functionally in a diverse environment on multiple projects
  • independent thinking (constructively challenging the status quo) coupled with a proven ability to work with others and generate impact in a team environment
  • well-developed strategic thinking ability with commercial market awareness and business acumen
  • disciplined organization and topic/project management skills
