Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing/tracking and managing business development and sales of Strategic initiatives in the APAC region. This role is crucial for driving the sales organisation, developing strategic plans, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. This involves active, business-focused engagement with Country Sales Organisations in the region and working together as One Team to achieve the business objectives of Strategic initiatives.

Job Purpose

To lead and manage agreed regional key initiatives for the APAC region, engage with sales organisations of affiliate companies in the region, drive sales growth, and ensure the execution of strategic initiatives and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve strategic initiatives. Analyse market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for growth. Forecast sales performance and set quarterly and annual sales goals for the region.
  • Team Management: Proactive and continuous engagement with all stakeholders in the region. Be a good team player and regularly exchange information with country sales heads. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide insights to the reporting manager.
  • Business Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the region. Address customer/country-specific needs and come up with solutions to ensure business objectives are achieved. Develop new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
  • Sales Operations: Monitor sales activities and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Prepare and present regular sales reports, including sales volume, revenue, and expenses. Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product management/development, to align sales strategies for the execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research together with country organisations to understand customer needs and preferences. Identify emerging market trends and adapt sales strategies accordingly. Evaluate the effectiveness of sales campaigns and initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Electric engineering major with sales/marketing experience in industrial sales. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager/Business Development Manager, preferably in a regional or similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse sales data and market trends.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required.
