Job summary

A consulting firm in Singapore is seeking a Business Development Manager in Logistics to manage client relationships and drive sales. About the Client:

The client provides innovative, global supply-chain solutions across Automotive, Consumer, Industrial and Retail markets. These solutions include Order Management, Distribution & Fulfillment, Customs Brokerage and Transportation products delivered across six regions. They also pioneered the use of visual data analysis and offer a robust Data Management and Analytics product suite to help its customers understand and solve complex problems that span systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to find the right customer
  • Able to hunt and close ocean freight business
  • Able to build up relationship with customer and dig out the opportunities fitting into our client needs
  • Able to understand customer supply chain, find the pain point and sell the right solution and demonstrated value to customers
  • Maintain good relationship with existing clients, continuously improve the profitability and dig out new business opportunities
  • Ensure timely and accurate report of target account, opportunities, and sales calls
  • Follow up A/R and ensure timely payment from the customer
  • Responsible to follow the customer qualification and on boarding protocols including credit setup, and contract coordination for customers

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, ideally with an MBA or related advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in commercial role with rich knowledge of supply chain logistics and local market practice
  • Prospecting and targeting customer in focused product
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Understanding of operational process
  • Good knowledge in both international and domestic logistics
  • Established network of customer and business relationships
  • Be able to work in complex situation and under pressure

Key Result Areas:

  • Meet budget goals, including overall revenue and CM target for specific services
  • Account generating at least minimum corporate CM
  • Meet regional AR Target
  • Full compliance in sales system input
