About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic BusinessDevelopment Manager – Logistics to drive growth, expand market presence and manage strategic customer relationships within the logistics and supply chain domain. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in acquiring new business, managing key accounts, and developing strategic partnerships across freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing and distribution services.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Sales
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, and transportation segments.
- Achieve revenue targets, gross margins, and profitability goals.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives.
- Conduct market analysis to identify growth areas, competitive positioning and client needs.
Client Relationship Management
- Manage and expand relationships with existing key accounts to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct regular business reviews and provide customized logistics solutions to customers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer escalations and strategic discussions.
Strategic & Operational Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, pricing, finance, and customer service teams to design solutions and ensure service excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support tender processes, RFP/RFQ submissions, and contract negotiations.
- Provide feedback to internal teams on customer trends and business opportunities.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Gather market insights and competitor intelligence to refine business strategies.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and business development updates for management.
- Participate in industry events, networking sessions, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, 3PL/4PL, or supply chain solutions.
- Strong network and industry relationships across logistics and transportation sectors.
- Proven track record of closing high-value deals and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand and propose complex logistics solutions (end-to-end supply chain, freight, cross-border, warehousing, last-mile).
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze data and develop commercial strategies.
- Ability to work independently with strong ownership and accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
