KIMIA Recover is a comprehensive recovery management solution that provides a reduction in the number of hospital visits and complications. The product was also the National Winner and International Top 20 of the prestigious James Dyson Award 2020 and has gained traction with major public hospitals and orthopedic clinics. Their digital therapy platform comprising of KIMIA Assess and KIMIA Move products, uses artificial intelligence technology for digital MSK assessment and therapy. This platform is capable of providing pre-consultation assessments and real-time exercise guidance and feedback to musculoskeletal patients and is being adopted by some of the largest private healthcare providers in the region, along with large corporate players.
Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for spearheading regional growth for advanced medical devices and digital health platforms across ASEAN markets from Singapore. The role combines strategic planning, market penetration, stakeholder management, and collaborative execution to maximize sales and ensure sustained leadership in digital healthcare innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and refine strategic business development plans to achieve designated revenue and profit targets within medical device and digital health product segments.
- Identify, target, and acquire new clients such as hospitals, clinics, distributors, and healthcare groups through rigorous market research, networking, and competitor analysis.
- Establish and nurture lasting relationships with both new and existing customers, ensuring retention, upselling opportunities, and outstanding customer experience.
- Engage new principals and strategic partners to expand the regional footprint and product adoption, driving both top-line growth and market share.
- Deliver compelling presentations and customized product demonstrations to various stakeholders including decision makers at healthcare organizations at conferences, trade shows, and targeted meetings.
- Work closely with regional management, marketing, technical, and product development teams to align go-to-market strategies, support product launches, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
- Oversee product strategy and ensure sales teams meet their targets through effective leadership, coaching, and performance monitoring.
- Monitor and report on market trends, emerging growth opportunities, regulatory changes, and competitor product developments to inform strategic planning and risk management.
- Lead regional product launches including go-live campaigns, training, and post-launch customer support ensuring rapid and successful market adoption.
- Foster a culture of innovation, efficiency, and customer-centricity in all commercial and partnership activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Business, or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of successful experience in medical device sales or business development, with a demonstrable track record of revenue and profit achievement.
- Deep understanding of healthcare sector regulations, ethics, and operational requirements across Southeast Asia.
- Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with an ability to deliver technical information to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proven leadership or mentoring experience with local or regional sales teams highly desirable.
