Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports, budgets, and financial forecasts for Japan HQ (Asahi Kasei Corporation).
• Perform management accounting and cost accounting analysis in a manufacturing environment.
• Coordinate transfer pricing matters and consolidated financial reporting with Japan HQ.
• Coordinate with Japan HQ Sales on new material registration, customer approval, and related commercial processes.
• Coordinate budgeting, mid‑term planning, and cross‑department initiatives under Business Administration.
• Support annual planning cycle and monitor performance against plans.
• Collect and analyze internal and external data for SSBR business management.
• Support supply chain and PSI (Production, Sales & Inventory) planning with related departments.
• Liaise with Japan HQ and Sales departments for daily financial and SCM coordination, including Japanese‑language communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Business, Accounting, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience (management accounting and/or cost accounting) in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and analytical work.
• Experience in chemical or related manufacturing industry is required.
• Strong hands‑on SAP experience with independent data extraction capability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Business‑level Japanese required (JLPT N1 preferred, minimum N2) due to regular HQ reporting and coordination.
