Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and painting works.
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure safety and proper upkeep.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, breakdowns, and emergencies.
- Carry out painting and finishing works including surface preparation, patching, priming, and applying paints, varnishes, or polish to walls, furniture, and fixtures.
- Repair and maintain the resort’s aesthetics by fixing cracks, stains, and other surface damages.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely (brushes, rollers, spray guns, ladders, scaffolding, and power tools).
- Maintain documentation of work performed and report recurring issues to the supervisor.
- Support minor renovation, installation, and improvement projects.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards when handling electrical systems, tools, paints, and chemicals, as well as when working at heights.
- Assist the engineering team in energy-saving and sustainability initiatives.
Requirements:
- Technical certificate or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services preferred.
- Prior experience in building maintenance and painting/finishing, ideally within a hotel or resort environment.
- Knowledge of building systems, painting techniques, and safe handling of equipment and chemicals.
- Team player with good communication skills and service-oriented mindset.
