Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced BIM Engineer to prepare construction and as-built drawings. You will develop and maintain BIM models, perform engineering calculations, and manage drawing documentation. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Architecture, has over 5 years of experience in the field, and is proficient in BIM software including Revit and AutoCAD. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential for this role, which involves collaboration with various stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the related field.
• Formal training and certification in BIM or equivalent software will be an advantage.
• Willing to attend to urgent project requirements beyond normal office hours.

Job description

Job Scope

• Prepare and produce construction drawings and as-built drawings including BIM models in accordance with project requirements.
• Develop and maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle until as-built stage.
• Perform system design and basic engineering calculations for assigned projects.
• Prepare and develop shop drawings according to project schedule and coordination requirements.
• Responsible for document control and management of drawings and submission documents.
• Maintain proper records of design changes and ensure all digital models and documentation are updated accordingly.
• Draft, amend and update drawings using AutoCAD and BIM software based on project and Main Contractor’s requirements.
• Convert conceptual and design information into accurate and detailed construction drawings.
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal departments, consultants, contractors and external parties on design and model changes.
• Ensure BIM models comply with project BIM Execution Plan (BEP), standards and workflow requirements.
• Carry out proper drafting procedures for various project stages, including authority submissions.
• Perform quality control checks on drawings and BIM models to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance before submission.
• Incorporate feedback and comments from engineers, architects, consultants and clients into drawings and models.
• Attend coordination meetings with Project Manager and other discipline coordinators when required.

Job Requirement

• Degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the related field.
• Proficient in BIM software including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and other relevant drafting tools.
• Formal training and certification in BIM, AutoCAD or equivalent modelling software will be an advantage.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Able to multitask and perform in a fast-paced working environment.
• Possess strong analytical skills and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to attend to urgent project requirements beyond normal office hours when necessary.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
• 6-day work week.
