Job description
Role Summary:

The Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and effective management of accounts receivable to safeguard company revenue. This role involves handling incoming payments, issuing invoices, updating financial records, and maintaining client account information. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities to resolve client inquiries and provide clear, professional updates.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and issue invoices and credit notes accurately and on time.
  • Monitor and maintain a healthy Accounts Receivable aging report for assigned accounts.
  • Follow up on non-payment, delayed payments, and other irregularities to ensure timely collection.
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries, including collection and payment discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records and perform account reconciliations of receipts.
  • Ensure timely month-end closing for the accounts receivable function.
  • Register assets and prepare relevant data for issuance of renewable energy certificates for delivery to customers.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline billing and collection workflows.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years’ of relevant experience in Billing, Accounts Receivable or Operations
  • Proactive attitude and drive to get things done
  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully with team members both within and across teams

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office is fundamental (Word, Excel)
