Job summary

A global trading firm is seeking a base metal trader in Singapore. This role involves supporting trading activities, monitoring market movements, and coordinating with teams for smooth trade execution. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, 3–7 years of relevant experience in the commodities sector, and strong analytical skills. Proficiency in Excel and fluency in English are essential. Opportunity for occasional business travel is included.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of relevant experience in trading, commercial, or operations roles within commodities or logistics.
• Experience in base metals and commodity derivatives.

Responsibilities

• Support sales and trading activities, including pricing and documentation.
• Assist in monitoring market movements and pricing strategies.
• Work closely with senior traders on P&L monitoring.
• Coordinate with back office and logistics teams for trade execution.
• Participate in contract review and preparation.
• Build relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Research new market opportunities and competitor analysis.
• Learn and apply risk management concepts.
• Be open to occasional business travel.
