Job summary

A leading financial institution in Singapore is seeking an AVP/VP, Institutional Sales and Advisory Specialist. The role involves managing a portfolio of institutional clients, acquiring new clients, and providing comprehensive financial solutions across various asset classes. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in Global Markets Sales and a strong understanding of Treasury products. Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Treasury products including Interest rate, Credit & Foreign Exchange Derivatives.

Business Function

As a leader in treasury operations, DBS extends a broad range of capabilities in foreign exchange and derivatives, money market and securities trading, to corporations and financial institutions. DBS trades in a comprehensive product range, including foreign exchange, interest rates, credit, and derivatives.

Global Financial Markets (GFM) provides total solutions to serve DBS clients' hedging and investment needs with a regional emphasis. We have a strong record of providing innovative wealth management solutions to our individual investors. We are a leader in SGD and regional products with excellent customer-driven research capability and an ever-growing distribution network.

Responsibilities
  • Provide relationship and sales coverage to a portfolio of Institutional Flow type clients focusing on Global Real-Money funds, Hedge funds and SWFs.
  • Acquire and engage new non-bank Insititutional clients while growing existing customer base
  • Multi-asset engagement with these clients across FX, interest rates, fixed income, derivatives, equities and customised solutions
  • Work closely with local and regional traders and research to recommend daily trade ideas for Asian government bonds, FX and IR Derivatives, Investment ideas and structured solutions
  • Engage institutional clients with face-to-face presentations and regular research seminars
Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree with 5-10 years' relevant experience in Global Markets Sales / Structuring
  • Proven success in onboarding institutional client relationships and building strong engagement
  • Strong knowledge of Treasury products including but not limited to Interest rate, Credit & Foreign Exchange Derivatives
  • Good understanding of the regulatory requirements, Asian market nuances and trends
