In Group Technology, we manage the majority of the Bank's processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to ensure the successful implementation of technical solutions for IBGT by bridging the gap between business needs and technology. This involves leading the end-to-end systems development lifecycle, from initial planning and scoping to analysis and technical implementation, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives on time and within budget. The role also includes managing the performance of technology suppliers to ensure they consistently deliver high-quality services to various business areas.

Responsibilities
Solution Design and Implementation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (business users, technical teams, vendors, ecosystem partners) to gather, analyze, design, develop, test, and implement solutions for various projects, including but not limited to Trade Finance initiatives and ecosystem developments.
  • Identify opportunities and transform them into solutions that drive business value.
  • Validate the relevance of requirements and drive process improvement/standardization.
  • Review and inspect work products of users, vendors, service providers, and technical teams.
  • Develop relationships, establish credibility, and build confidence with internal business teams and external ecosystem partners.
  • Effectively communicate the value of technology solutions to stakeholders.
  • Comprehend how ecosystem partner businesses and digital initiatives work, staying up to date on industry trends and best practices.
Problem Solving and Management
  • Identify and solve problems objectively using analysis, experience, and judgment.
  • Manage production support and incident resolution with IT suppliers to minimize business impact.
  • Conduct vendor negotiations to ensure the best value and benefits for IT solutions.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and IT suppliers.
Code Packaging and CICD
  • Design and implement efficient code packaging strategies and robust CICD pipelines, enabling rapid and reliable software delivery across all environments.
  • Develop automated tools and processes for code packaging, versioning, artifact management, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement.
  • Streamline the software development lifecycle, improve deployment efficiency, and enhance overall software quality.
Requirement Management
  • Assimilate, validate, and prioritize business requirements.
Solution Design and Evaluation
  • Analyse, Design, Define, Develop, Test and Deliver technical solutions, ensuring the quality of implementation.
  • Drive continuous process improvement to ensure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in these areas:
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with various IT tools, technologies, and platforms relevant to corporate banking operations, particularly in areas like Trade Finance.
  • Corporate Banking & Integration: Understanding of corporate banking operations and integration with external partners.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Strong collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical & Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex situations and find effective solutions.
  • Organized & Detail‑Oriented: High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Project Management & SDLC: Proven experience in project management, SDLC processes, and testing methodologies.
  • Documentation: Proficiency in creating Business Requirement Documents and Functional Specifications.
  • Microsoft Suite: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, and Visio.
  • Experience with business workflow management systems.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence tools.
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using a wide range of technologies including:
  • Backend: Java, Spring Boot, OpenJDK, Elixir, MariaDB, Oracle, MSSQL
  • Middleware: JBOSS, MQ, Maxscale, Connect Direct, Tectia
  • Product: COBOL, CICS TG & TX Cloud, IMEX
