Purpose of the Role
Lead automation and AI initiatives to transform operational processes within NewBusiness and Underwriting, while providing oversight on product implementation readiness. This role drives efficiency, compliance, and innovation across T&O.
Key Responsibilities
Automation & AI Enablement
- Strategic Automation Planning: Design Business roadmap & requirements, develop prototypes for automation solutions to eliminate inefficiencies and redundancies, enhancing operational processes and improving customer and partner experience.
- AI & GenAI Integration: Leverage AI and GenAI technologies to optimize underwriting, onboarding processes and potential claims and customer services cross-functional flows and pain points, enabling intelligent document processing, predictive analytics, and rule-based automation.
- Data Analytics & Insights: Develop and optimize AI-driven dashboards and analytical tools; collaborate with stakeholders from business functions and Data Science & Analytics to maximize data value for performance tracking, service quality, risk management, and decision-making.
- Stakeholder Management: Lead cross-functional automation Operations SMEs to deliver strategic initiatives aligned with business priorities.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all automation and AI initiatives comply with regulatory requirements and organizational standards, mitigate operational, data and reputational risks.
- Training & Change Management: Conduct business end-users training on new AI tools and dashboards; develop communication plans for process changes and adoption.
Product Implementation Review
- Operational Readiness: Oversee end-to-end operational readiness for new product launches, ensuring seamless onboarding and servicing processes.
- Workflow Optimization: Review and refine product workflows to enable straight-through processing (STP) and minimize manual touchpoints.
- Compliance & Scalability: Validate that new product processes meet compliance standards and are scalable for future growth.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Distribution, Compliance, Tech, and Ops teams to ensure smooth implementation and integration.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Automation Expertise: Proficiency in Power Automate, Power BI, QlikSense, and GenAI technologies.
- Process Improvement: Strong experience in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt preferred) and Agile methodologies.
- AI Awareness: Understanding of AI applications in business operations, including OCR, NLP, and predictive analytics.
- Data Literacy: Ability to work with operational data and dashboards for insights and reporting.
- Project Management: Skilled in managing cross-functional initiatives and timelines.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement and requirement documentation.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Information Systems, or related field.
- Certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), Agile, and AI/Analytics (e.g., AI for Business, Data Analytics Foundations) are highly advantageous.
