Qualifications

  • Minimum Higher NITEC in Mechanical or Automotive Technology with 3-4 years of heavy vehicle maintenance experience.
  • Experience in fleet planning and procurement of vehicle parts.
  • Qualified First Aider (training will be provided).

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools.

Job description
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the assigned vendor performs daily maintenance and upkeep of vehicles and follows strictly the maintenance regime as prescribed in both company’s Operations Manual and Maintenance Manual.
  • Regularly check and approve the maintenance record performed by vendor, highlight any shortcomings and apply appropriate measures to align expectations for full compliance.
  • Provide support and monitor operational expenditure at the airport for cost optimization, especially on maintenance cost, and explore opportunities for continuous improvement with HSSE and Maintenance Supervisor as well as the Airport Operations Manager.
  • Maintain communication and manage changes related to maintenance for the vendor, supporting the Maintenance and HSSE Supervisors by keeping an active register of all technical bulletins and ensuring changes are implemented and documented.
  • Maintain an active asset register of JAS vehicles and refuelling module.
  • Document all maintenance tasks, quality tests, and checks in accordance with company requirements, maintaining individual asset records.
  • Assist in providing evidence through records and documentation for audits (IATA, IFQP, airline, and company audits).
  • Provide active register and help initiate annual license renewal for both airport and relevant insurance with the Airport Operations Manager, HSSE, and Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Share safety information and technical bulletins with staff regularly, and monitor HSSE performance of the vendor.
  • Assist the Airport Manager/Country Ops Manager in reviewing equipment specifications to ensure fit‑for‑purpose equipment is procured.
  • Support the Maintenance and HSSE Supervisor and Airport Operations Manager in the day‑to‑day maintenance of the JAS fleet to meet operational needs and other assigned maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy vehicles such as trucks, buses, and superstructure equipment.
  • Perform scheduled service and maintenance activities, including inspections, flushing and filling of engine, brake, clutch oil, oil filter/seal replacement, brake pad replacement, tyre replacement/rotation, and component replacements.
  • Maintain detailed records of all repairs and maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum Higher NITEC in Mechanical, automotive technology, or equivalent, with 3–4 years of heavy vehicle maintenance experience.
  • Experience in fleet planning and procurement of vehicle parts.
  • Qualified First Aider (training will be provided).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools, and conducting manual inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and develop repair plans.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
