Job summary

A technology company in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop software for automated equipment. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the automation industry and be proficient in PC-based programming, particularly Visual C#. Responsibilities include maintaining legacy codes, troubleshooting existing systems, and collaborating with customers to gather requirements. This role also requires travel to customers' sites.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the automation industry.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for automated equipment.
• Maintain, review and improve legacy codes.
• Troubleshoot issues with existing installed systems.
• Write user manuals to describe the functionality of developed programs.
• Liaise with the customer on requirements and create specifications.

Skills

PC based programming (e.g. Visual C#)

PLC programming (e.g. Omron/Beckhoff)

Familiar with Motion Controllers/Actuators (e.g. IAI, AD Link)

Familiar with vision systems (e.g. Cognex)

Ability to work independently

Willing to learn and adapt to new technology

Education

Degree/diploma in Electrical/Electronic engineering/Computer science
