ABOUT US

Emerald Law LLC is a full-service firm which practice includes family law, criminal defence, civil litigation, personal injury claims, and corporate law. We adopt a client-focused approach, aiming to deliver tailored legal solutions in an efficient manner. We are currently looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate or Senior Associate to become a part of our vibrant legal team.

JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support and assistance to our civil/corporate/commercial team in a broad range of legal matters. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, including dispute resolution work at all forums and levels of the Singapore Courts and corporate work such as M&A, corporate advisory and contract review. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for the legal field.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including court documents such as pleadings and affidavits as well as corporate work such as contracts and agreements.
  • Assist in preparing for and attending trials and hearings.
  • Provide support in corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and corporate governance.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis on a range of legal issues and case law.
  • Stay informed about current laws, regulations, and legal developments that impact the firm and its clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be qualified to practice in Singapore.
  • Preferably NQ to 1 PQE for Associate and 3 PQE for Senior Associate.
  • Solid knowledge of legal principles, practices and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., Lawnet, LexisNexis) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
