Job Scope
The AVP, Business Management Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective coordination and delivery of the budget for MSSG (Maybank Singapore) by collaborating closely with various business units. This role involves overseeing key areas of focus to achieve budgetary targets and presenting progress updates to various stakeholders, including the Board, Management Steering Committee (MSL), and management committees.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver the budget for MSSG in alignment with the business objectives and priorities.
- Prepare and deliver presentation materials to the Board, MSL, and management committees to support budgetary progress and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and business ambitions with MIBG regional Business Management Office (BMO) and Maybank, including KPIs for business heads. Ensure the best possible alignment and presentation of MSSG ambition with MIBG BMO strategy.
- Develop presentations reflecting progress against KPIs and strategic objectives for stakeholders.
- Serve as the key point of contact for MIBG regional BMO and CEO’s office regarding regional deliverables and ad hoc requests.
- Develop, communicate and maintain a monthly tracking mechanism to assess business performance against ambitions and budget targets across various metrics
- Monitor monthly performance metrics for revenue pillars
- Track onboardings, revenue and income, monthly and yearly progress of revenue pillars
- Monitor performance of new and key accounts, including funding, balance, activity, fee vs. fund income, upcoming deal pipeline and progress of product development.
- Coordinate technology and product development initiatives with the Product Management team to ensure alignment with income and budget goals.
- Streamline task requests from various business units, eliminating duplicates and centralising new requests for the project team's efficiency.
- Coordinate business updates for the Board and assist the Investment Management (IM) business in creating presentations and compiling relevant data.
- Assist in coordinating and creating plans for new business proposals.
- Assist with organizational structure changes, management committee changes, and other organizational redesign initiatives.
- Participate in the organization of Town Hall meetings and the supporting presentations and materials involved.
- Be involved in the organization and operation of Agile-related initiatives.
- Fulfill ad hoc requests from MIBG CEO, MSL CEO, President & Group CEO’s office, Group Exco, and other stakeholders.
- Formalise MSSG CEO’s annual KPIs with MIBG CEO Office and assist in tracking delivery against KPIs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in budget coordination, performance tracking, and stakeholder management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools and project management methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
