Job Description

  • Assist the Section Head (Pastry Chef) and Production manager in daily running of the Pastry production kitchen
  • Assist the Section Head (Pastry Chef) to develop new recipes and keep up with trend
  • Leads and motivates junior pastry cook in the preparation of daily pastry products with consistent quality
  • Involvement in daily production of pastry products in accordance with specifications from recipes
  • Monitor and order ingredients and supplies
  • Ensure safe and proper use of equipment at all times
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in and around workstation and strictly abide with health/sanitation regulations
  • Any other ad-hoc duties base on operational need

Requirements

  • Certificate in Pastry Skills or its equivalent
  • Preferably 1 year managerial or 2 years supervisory experience in large quantity production
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • 5 working days per week with the ability to work on weekends/public holidays
