Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is looking for a qualified safety officer to oversee site safety management. This role entails conducting safety inspections, monitoring contractors' performance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate must have over 5 years of construction experience, at least 2 in tunneling or deep excavation, and be a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer. Shift work is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in tunneling and/or deep excavation works.
• Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractors' safety performance and manage site safety.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Monitor Contractors' safety performance and participate actively insite safety management in highlighting to the relevant parties onimmediate actions to be taken
• Follow up on all safety matters related to Design for Safety (DfS),WSH etc
• Conduct safety inspections including taking photos of unsafe actsand conditions and bringing to main contractor's attention
• Issue and closely follow up on field observation notices includingsafety non-conformances notices and respond to site incident(s) inensuring contractors' carry out emergency response as required
• Conduct roving safety inspections, emergency & incidentresponse and facts finding
• Provide daily safety inspection report to OIC
• lead and conduct monthly safety inspection of the Site and submitthe report to Superintending Officer
• Organize and participate in regular Safety Site Walk and Inspectionwith client and stakeholders
• Submit monthly reports on safety indicators & trending analysison monthly safety performance
• Report any accident/incident/near miss on site to the OIC andprovide all necessary detailed information
• Conduct Inspections for precast elements

Criteria

• a. Minimum5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
• preferably3 years with developer/main contractor.
• b. Minimum2 years of experience in tunneling and/or deep excavation
• works.
• c. Must bea registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM.
• d. Hasobtained certificate in development of a Risk Management
• ImplementationPlan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent.
• e. Class 3Qualified Driving License.
• f. Must bewilling to work shifts
