Job description

Position Summary:

The Assistant Manager for Student Success plays a vital role in ensuring ERAU students receive the support they need to succeed academically and personally. The incumbent will enhance student experience, retention and success for ERAU students by providing integrated advising, career planning, and pastoralsupport. This role bridges advising, career services, and industry partners to support students in achieving their educational and professional goals, as well as extends the connection between graduates and students at ERAU.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Success

  • Monitor and conduct proactive advising for at-risk students and deploy targeted interventions

  • Enhance student learning and support through mentorship scheme

  • Spearhead and implement wellness initiatives and programs to support student wellbeing

  • Coordinate and/or provide interventions and support for students with learning gaps

  • Facilitate student success through ERAU’s Global Learning, Relevance to industries/community, Open communication, Worth and wellbeing (GROW) model

  • Identify, coach and motivate students to represent ERAU in industry competition, MICE-related events to facilitate student exposure

  • Deliver, where possible, or support the course instruction for College Success (UNIV 101)

  • Provide guidance to students about Study Abroad and Eagle Mobility programs offered within the university

  • Partner faculty members and the Office of Student Services for effective progress monitoring practices

Alumni and Career Services

  • Partner internal stakeholders and industry partners to facilitate internship and job placements

  • Plan and execute lunch time talks, industry visits, career fairs and/or other learning journey to enhance student learning

  • Coordinate career coaching sessions with faculty members and/or mentors

  • Organise and coordinate alumni events and engagement with ERAU graduates

Data and Compliance

  • Implement system for progress monitoring to track student progress and growth

  • Work closely with Office of Data Management to use student performance data to identify at-risk students and develop targeted interventions

  • Use student performance data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement in student outcomes and address barriers to student retention

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred

  • Prior experience in student success or advising, or a similar role working with diverse student population, strongly preferred. Other equivalent experience may be considered

  • Ability to build rapport, actively listen, and establish positive relationships with students from various backgrounds

  • Proven track record in analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to collect, and interpret data

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
