Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for the profitable growth and development of the Retail and Motor business. The primary role comprises of underwriting, product and proposition development
• Retail business refers to all personal lines classes including Home, PA, Travel excluding Motor
• Identify target customers segments and development new products for targeted segments
• Negotiate, underwrite, accept and renew business within personal risk acceptance authority
• Review pricing of products and portfolio with actuary in achieving sustainable and profitable growth
• Provide advice on product coverage and underwriting intention
• Provide product training to business units
• Work with Underwriting Governance on risks acceptance guidelines Ensure risks are accepted and underwritten in accordance with company guidelines
• Ensure compliance with all laws, regulatory provisions and Group policies as are relevant to the role
• Undertake any other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications

• Professional insurance qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in roles involving developing and underwriting Retail and/or Motor insurance business and products
