Job description
As an Assistant Manager, Grants Management, you will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Identify, nurture, and secure private grant support from foundations, corporations, and institutional donors.

  • Produce persuasive grant proposals, applications, and fundraising materials that reflect our mission and meet funders’ priorities.

  • Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective donors and actively source new funding opportunities to meet annual grant targets.

  • Negotiate grant conditions and contracts to ensure they align with organizational objectives and program requirements.

  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with grantmakers, corporate partners, and philanthropic entities.

  • Champion the organization’s mission and impact, clearly conveying the value of our work to donors and key stakeholders.

  • Represent the organization at networking events, donor engagements, and sector gatherings to broaden funding prospects.

  • Collaborate with programme leads to ensure funding needs align with program implementation and impact tracking.

  • Serve as a liaison between funders and programme teams, balancing compliance obligations with effective program delivery.

  • Manage grant reporting processes, ensuring the timely and accurate submission of impact and financial updates to funders.

  • Partner with program teams to monitor deliverables and confirm adherence to funder requirements.

  • Work with finance and program staff to track budget spending and verify that funds are utilized in accordance with grant agreements.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field in non-profit management.
