Job description
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily food service operations, including control room, store management, catering, dishing, and assembly tasks.
  • Manage staff hiring, deployment, and training.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and production team on inpatient, staff, and catering meals.
  • Handle escalated patient feedback and complaints professionally.
  • Manage vendor performance and contracts to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Monitor risks related to food safety and workplace safety; implement emergency preparedness and business continuity plans.
  • Lead initiatives focused on workflow improvement, sustainability, and waste reduction.
  • Prepare and submit monthly food service reports to management.
  • Conduct monthly contract payment verification for stewarding services.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Degree in Food & Beverage Management, Hospitality, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role, ideally within a hospital, upscale hotel, or high-volume food service environment.
  • Experience in contract management, project management, catering events, and ISO audits is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of electronic meal ordering systems is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to work efficiently, both independently and under tight deadlines.
  • Certification in relevant food hygiene and safety courses will be beneficial.
