Job summary

A leading clinical research consortium in Singapore is looking for an Assistant Manager to support the Chief Scientific Officer's Office. This role involves coordinating research proposals, engaging with the research community, and providing secretariat support for meetings. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Biomedical Sciences or related fields with at least 2 years of experience in project coordination. Communication and organizational skills are crucial. About PRECISE

PRECISE is the central entity coordinating whole‑of‑government effort to implement Singapore's National Precision Medicine (NPM) strategy. As part of this initiative, PRECISE has partnered with the SG100K study, Southeast Asia’s most comprehensive population health study of 100,000 consented participants, to build the PRECISE‑SG100K resource. This resource, with its comprehensive behavioural, phenotypic, and multi‑omic data, represents a state‑of‑the‑art platform for researchers to understand Asian biology and to generate insights with the potential to improve health outcomes for Asian populations globally.

Role Overview

Given the significant value of the PRECISE‑SG100K resource, we are seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Chief Scientific Officer's Office in this initiative. This position provides you a unique opportunity to work with diverse stakeholders, enhancing the research strategy and optimising the utilisation of this valuable PRECISE‑SG100K resource. You'll drive programme effectiveness through stakeholder engagement, scientific governance support, and operational coordination within the dynamic research ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support coordination of PRECISE‑SG100K research proposal calls, enabling research opportunities and maximising data impact across Singapore's precision medicine ecosystem.
  • Support vibrant research community engagement through dynamic conferences, workshops, events, and compelling newsletters.
  • Provide expert secretariat support for committee meetings and facilitate critical data governance processes.
  • Develop impactful presentations, reports and stakeholder communications that drive scientific progress.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Public Health, or related fields.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in research administration or project coordination.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Detail‑oriented, resourceful, and able to deliver quality work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
