Join SMART Systems as an Engineer within our Integration/ Customer Support Center departments at our office in Rifle Range Road. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of integration, testing, repair and maintenance engineering, contributing to the supply & delivery, reliability and performance of precision munitions and other defence systems.
As an Assistant Engineer, your responsibilities will include involvement in integration, testing, repair and maintenance operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure all technical requirements are met, and identifying opportunities to improve procedures and enhance efficiency.
Conduct technical and engineering activities related to precision munitions and other defence systems.
Develop and review technical documentation, including maintenance manuals, repair procedures, and engineering change requests.
Conduct technical analysis and troubleshooting to resolve complex engineering challenges in mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Collaborate closely with operations, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to optimize maintenance schedules and inventory management.
Manage projects to ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality and compliance with industry standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements and cost-saving measures.
Provide leadership and technical guidance to junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Diploma in Electronics/ Mechatronics/ Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Able to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and drawings for assembly and maintenance works.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to use analytical skills and a "hands-on" person.
Good interpersonal skills, proactive and work well with others.
Preferably with valid Class 3 driving license.
