Job summary

A property management company in Singapore is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage all aspects of financial operations including full finance and accounting functions, statutory compliance, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, including supervisory roles, and a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance. Job description
Job Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
  • Independently manage the full finance and accounting functions of Management Corporation Strata Title (MCST) and company accounts, including review of work performed by team members.
  • Handle full sets of accounts from source documents to financial statements, covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Fixed Assets.
  • Perform monthly and year-end closing, including preparation of management accounts, supporting schedules, intercompany reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial and management reports for group consolidation and management review.
Statutory & Compliance
  • Prepare and submit statutory filings, including GST returns, Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI), and corporate income tax computations.
  • Maintain proper accounting records and documentation in compliance with the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act (BMSMA), Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS/FRS), and other relevant regulations.
  • Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audits, including coordination for audited financial statements.
Stakeholder & External Liaison
  • Liaise independently with external auditors, tax agents, banks, vendors, regulatory authorities, and council members.
  • Act as the key finance point of contact for MCST-related financial matters.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring for managed properties.
  • Conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage payments, collections, and banking matters to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Operations & Coordination
  • Monitor and coordinate with on-site administrative staff on invoice submissions and supporting documentation.
  • Serve as the liaison between the finance department and operations managers to ensure timely and accurate financial processing.
Management Support
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reports to support management decision-making.
  • Undertake other finance-related duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, or CPA is an added advantage.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
  • Candidates applying for the Finance Manager position must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Prior experience handling full sets of accounts, preferably in property management, real estate, or MCST environments.
Technical Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Good working knowledge of:
    Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act (BMSMA) Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS/FRS)
    GST and corporate taxation in Singapore
Skills & Competencies
  • Proven experience liaising directly with auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
