Job summary

A finance-focused technology firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced finance professional to manage their full finance and accounting functions. You will report directly to the Group Finance Manager and be responsible for preparing financial statements, performing monthly and year-end closing processes, and ensuring compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of relevant experience and a degree in Accountancy or Finance. Strong problem-solving skills and independence are essential for this role.

Job Description

• Report directly to the Group Finance Manager and independently manage the company’s full finance and accounting function.
• Handle the full set of accounts from source documents to financial statements, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets.
• Perform monthly and year‑end closing, including preparation of management accounts, schedules, intercompany reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial and management reports for group consolidation and management review.
• Prepare and submit statutory filings, including GST returns, Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI), and corporate income tax computations.
• Liaise independently with external auditors, tax agents, banks, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare audit schedules and support both internal and external audit processes, including audited financial statements.
• Maintain proper accounting records and documentation in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS/FRS).
• Monitor cash flow, manage payments, collections, and banking matters to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
• Support management with ad‑hoc financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and other finance‑related duties as required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, or CPA is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant Finance/Accounting experience; candidates applying for Finance Manager positions must possess at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience in maintaining a full set of accounts independently.
• Good working knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS/FRS), GST, and corporate taxation.
• Experience liaising directly with auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders.
• Highly independent, self‑motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
• Meticulous, responsible, and confident with strong problem‑solving skills.
