The Assistant Engineer (SQE) ensures that all materials, components, and services provided by suppliers meet Cragar Industries’ stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role is critical in maintaining product integrity, supporting ISO13485 compliance, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Assess and approve suppliers based on capability, compliance, and performance metrics.
Conduct supplier audits and process reviews to ensure adherence to ISO13485 and Cragar’s quality standards.
Monitor supplier performance using KPIs such as On-Time Deliver.
Collaborate with suppliers to drive process improvements and reduce defect rates.
Work closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Production teams to align supplier quality objectives with business needs.
Maintain accurate records of audits, certifications, and supplier performance evaluations.
Knowledge of ISO13485, and root cause analysis tools. Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality management systems.
