Assistant Director (Outsourcing Strategy)

What The Role Is You provide dedicated focus in strategising outsourcing to ensure contractors' resilience and cost effectiveness for the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

What You Will Be Working On
  • Formulate outsourcing strategy across
  • Carry out outsourcing portfolio risk-assessment to identify potential risks and improvements
  • Drive competency development for SAF contract managers in outsourcing and contract management
  • Source and procure goods and services in strict compliance with procurement policies and guidelines of the Singapore Armed Forces and MINDEF
Challenge(s)
  • Having in-depth understanding in SAF procurement and contracting framework to guide different contracting approaches
  • Identifying potential risks and improvements in current contracts
  • Having strong foundation in governance, risk and controls
  • Having good knowledge of business domains such as logistics, procurement, finance and manpower to understand impact of new policies and systems
  • Being inquisitive to research emerging outsourcing risks in supply chain
  • Staying current with industry best practices in commercial and global military sectors to contextualise and tailor them to meet SAF demands
What We Are Looking For
