Job description

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes from suppliers
• Responsible for procurement business system data input
• Responsible for coordinating subcontract material with sub-tier suppliers and subsequent deliveries to factories
• Review and analyse quotes from vendors. Coordinate purchasing activities with suppliers, manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventories in a cost effective and timely manner
• Responsible for negotiating with vendors to ensure Company is always in an advantageous position
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of database information in Purchasing module
• Responsible for reconciling and managing company inventory movement
• Responsible for all escalations and very best outcome for all material requirements within responsible scope to meet OTD and customer commitments
• Monitor the costs, schedules and scopes of assigned subcontracts to negotiate highest quality at best value
• Interact closely with suppliers and Engineer/QA to resolve quality issues
• Any other task assigned by the Company

Requirements

• Diploma/ Degree in Electronic/ Engineering/ Manufacturing related
• Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or similar qualification
• Prior experience in purchasing field for a minimum of 4 years in an electronics manufacturing environment
• ERP and MRP knowledge is required
• Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and colleagues
• Experience in the logistic, commercial and tactical aspects of supply chain requirements
