Overview

The Department of Food Science and Technology at the National University of Singapore is recruiting up to 10 tenure-track faculty positions at the level of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor.

We welcome applications from candidates across emerging and interdisciplinary areas of food, human nutrition and urban agriculture domains. We especially welcome candidates with research experience on production-to-consumption food systems, food and nutrition security, as well as the advances of scientific innovations and novel technologies to address current and future global food challenges.

Tenure-Track Faculty Positions

Applicants should possess a PhD degree in a related field from an internationally reputable university. Postdoctoral experience of at least 2 years is required and industrial experience is highly valued. Appointees will be expected to establish an independent research programme that can compete strongly for external funding. In addition, the appointee is expected to guide research students and teach undergraduate and postgraduate subjects. Selection will be based on the applicant’s track record of relevant accomplishments and potential for outstanding future contributions.

Remuneration

Remuneration will be internationally competitive and includes eligibility for annual performance bonus and salary increment, subsidised housing, medical benefits, and substantial research support.
