Job summary

A hospitality services company in Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support their Finance Department. Job Summary

The Gourmet Factor Pte. Ltd. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support our Finance Department. This role is ideal for candidates with 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the F&B or hospitality industry. You will assist in handling daily accounting operations, preparing financial records, and supporting month-end closing activities. Experience with Xero Accounting software will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and support daily cash and sales reconciliation.
  • Process supplier invoices, payments, and maintain vendor records.
  • Support monthly financial reporting and assist in preparing P&L statements.
  • Help monitor F&B cost of goods sold (COGS) and stock movements.
  • Ensure proper filing of accounting documents for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Assist with GST submissions and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Use Xero to maintain accurate and updated financial records.
  • Work closely with outlet managers and the Finance team to ensure timely submission of accounting data.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience (F&B or hospitality industry preferred).
  • Familiarity with Xero Accounting Software is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of Singapore accounting standards and GST reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with guidance and collaborate within a team.
  • Good communication skills across different departments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with F&B POS systems and inventory control processes.
  • Able to start immediately or within short notice.
