Job summary

A leading window systems company in Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented individual to prepare shop drawings and coordinate with clients, architects, and teams. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in English, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and excellent communication skills. Previous experience of at least 2 years is preferred. This role requires managing multiple tasks and ensuring materials are ordered in advance for timely fabrication.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in English; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and other industry-related software.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed shop drawings based on client specifications.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare Shop Drawings & Material Cutting Lists:
   • Create detailed shop drawings based on client and architect specifications for fabrication.
   • Develop and maintain accurate material cutting lists to ensure proper usage of resources and reduce waste.
2. Client & Architect Communication:
   • Maintain regular communication with clients and architects via phone, email, or video calls to review and confirm shop drawings.
   • Follow up on any requested revisions, changes, or clarifications to ensure all parties are aligned.
3. Coordination with Production & Sales Teams:
   • Work closely with production teams to ensure the design specifications are understood and can be implemented effectively.
   • Collaborate with sales personnel to ensure customer expectations are met and the fabrication process runs smoothly.
4. Material Usage & Glass Orders:
   • Accurately calculate material requirements for projects, ensuring that all resources (e.g., glass, metal) are ordered in advance.
   • Place and track orders for glass and other materials, ensuring they arrive on time for fabrication.
5. Required Skills and Qualifications:
   • Languages: Strong proficiency in English; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
   • Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and other industry-related software.
