Job description

The Architectural Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating architectural design and documentation across all project phases, ensuring compliance with design intent, building codes, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate architectural design development and documentation with internal teams, consultants, and contractors.
  • Review and manage design drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and zoning laws.
  • Collaborate with engineering disciplines (structural, MEP, civil) to resolve design conflicts.
  • Maintain quality control through regular reviews and checks of documents and site works.
  • Facilitate communication between architects, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing project schedules, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Participate in design meetings and project coordination sessions.
  • Prepare and submit necessary regulatory approvals and permits.
  • Support the project team during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Relevant experience in architectural design coordination or project management or similar.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural software (SketchUp, Rhino, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of construction detailing, materials, and methods.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of BIM coordination and clash detection software (e.g., Navisworks).
