Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced architect to review and coordinate architectural projects. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in both residential and commercial projects, along with a relevant degree in Architecture. Responsibilities include managing project specifications, supervising site works, and liaising with sub-contractors to ensure compliance with architectural standards. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of local experience in commercial building projects is preferred.
• Understanding of specifications, drawings, and scope of works is essential.
• Awareness of the requirements of relevant authorities (i.e., BCA) is necessary.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Review, update and coordinate all architectural work including shop drawings for the project


• Resolve drawings discrepancy


• Liaise, supervise and coordinate with sub-contractors and vendors on projects and work


• Ensure compliance with Architectural specifications, and achieve quality aspect of architectural works


• Coordinate with architect, structural engineer and M&E engineer to resolve construction problems and issues


• Carry out architectural works scheduling, material requisition, cost control, project supervision and documentation


• To assist Project Manager to develop project requirements and specifications


• To attend to construction site coordination works and meeting


• Review project specifications, tender clarifications and construction drawings


• Carry out daily supervision and coordination of all architectural implementations at site


• Prepare any necessary construction method statement and technical proposal to ensure smooth transition of works


• To liaise with RTO for inspection


• Inspect, resolve and monitor rectifications


• Supervise the construction of works and incorporation of materials and ensure that they are carried out in accordance with the Project Plan


• Assist the Project Management team in ensuring that the works are carried out to schedule and in accordance to relevant regulations

• Coordinate all architectural drawings and works, submit and update status of shop drawings and materials as well as supervise work progress


• Liaise closely with consultants and sub-contractors; conduct routine inspection of installed works


• Prepare / coordinate on method statement, drawings, materials, samples, work progress and other relevant documents for M&E related works


• Identify discrepancies between M&E, Structural ID, Architectural and client provision

Requirements

• Relevant Degree / Diploma in Architecture or its equivalent


• Minimum 5 years of local experience in private residential and commercial building projects will be an added advantage


• Understand the specifications, drawings, scope and sequence of works


• Ability to interpret construction drawings for any discrepancies


• Awareness of requirements of relevant authorities (i.e. BCA)
