Job description

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading application development initiatives, coordinating enhancements, and working closely with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work with cross-functional teams, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project & Enhancement Management

• Coordinate, manage, and track enhancements, changes, and project activities within the development team.
• Ensure timely delivery of solutions, adhering to agreed timelines and quality standards.

2. Application Development

• Responsible for end‑to‑end development including design, coding, construction, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to development best practices and coding standards.

3. Stakeholder & Business Engagement

• Work closely with business teams to understand, analyse, refine, and prioritise requirements.
• Facilitate clear communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.

4. Vendor & External Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with geographically distributed vendor teams to ensure alignment of deliverables and timely execution.
• Drive coordination across multiple teams to resolve dependencies and blockers.

5. Operational Support

• Handle day‑to‑day product support, including responding to business queries, troubleshooting issues, and managing incident resolution.
• Ensure system stability and reliability through proactive monitoring and improvements.

Requirements

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience in application development and project/application management.

Technical Skills

Strong expertise in:

• ASP.NET 4.0 and above
• SQL Database Design
• Tortoise SVN
• PHP

Good working knowledge of:

• Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, AJAX, jQuery, and other client/server‑based web tools

Additional advantage if familiar with:

• Java, Power BI, Outsystems, ServiceNow, RPA, Boomi, OTRS

Language Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin is an advantage, as the role requires regular interaction with Mandarin‑speaking business stakeholders.
